Hi, I’m Jo. I am a photographer with more than 15 years of experience behind the cameras, based in Byron Center MI, where I live with my wife and 3 kids, I was born and raised in Guatemala City, where I had the blessing of working for EQDW, one of the best Commercial Photography Studio in Guatemala and Central America, there, I had the opportunity to form myself as a Photographer, learning from the very best, my friend and mentor Eduardo Quintero, who was able to imprint on me the passion and love for photography and moving picture. I was able to ask questions and learn HANDS ON, I had the opportunity to work on projects for big worldwide brands, and go to places I could only imagin and dream about, and not just take pictures but also produce the moments like I say all the time, we don't "take Pictures... we MAKE pictures". After almost 10 years working in the studio, I decided it was time for me to look for new horizons, I started working on different projects including with Not for Profit organizations, which opened a totally new world for me, I was able to travel all over the country and cross borders because of my work, and it was like this where I got to meet my wife, back in 2016, she was volunteering in a medical trip and I was documenting the whole event process, years and 3 kids later we have settle down in west Michigan.
